Join us as we cheer on our girls basketball team as they take on St. Anthony! Not only will you get to enjoy some exciting basketball action, but we’ll also have baskets, a 50/50 raffle, and a bake sale — all to benefit our local Special Olympics! 💙💛
As an added bonus, the Effingham Lightning team will be putting on a short scrimmage between the JV and Varsity games! ⚡

Tonight's Fresh/Soph game against Shelbyville has been cancelled. Circumstances outside our control has forced the cancellation. We will match up against Shelbyville in F/S, JV and Varsity Boys basketball on Friday, January 24th!

🏀 Homecoming Game: Tuesday, December 3rd. JV starts at 6pm with coronation in between the JV and varsity games.
💃 Homecoming Dance: Saturday, December 7th from 7-10pm. Coronation at 9pm. Parents and family are welcome at coronation.

Attention Altamont families! Early dismissal is happening on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. ACHS will release students at 11:05 AM and AGS at 11:15 AM. Remember, there will be NO school on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29. We wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving!

November 15 is School Board Members Day. Our board members spend multiple hours each month on district work,
attending meetings, and other responsibilities most will never hear or read about.
I want to personally thank all seven members of the Altamont School Board for their service to the district, our students, and the

ACHS celebrated students who met or exceeded on their PSAT/SAT Spring 2024 assessment. Each student received a certificate and Jack Flash will be providing a pizza combo meal. In addition, the students who exceeded also received a $10 gift card from ACHS. Huge thank you to Jack Flash for partnering with us to recognize this academic achievement. Also, thank you to Molly Smith from Jack Flash for being here for the presentations.
Two seniors completed Mrs. Elam's goals bingo challenge. Congratulations to Tyler Ruffner and Noah Stanley. They each received a $50 Walmart gift card.
It's that time of year again! "Altamont Night" will be held in the ACHS gym on Saturday, November 16th. Team photos will run from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Festivities begin at 6:30pm. ACHS Sports Boosters will have hot dogs, taco-in-a-bag and baked goods for sale. We would like to recognize our Class of 1974 graduates, alumni girls basketball players and alumni cheer and dance athletes. Admission fee is canned food. See you all there!
