Mrs. Wendling's Kindergarten class did their annual Humpty Dumpty drop after reading the story "After the Fall" by Dan Santat. Students packaged a raw egg as safely as possible and brought the package to school. They dropped their packages from the top of playground equipment and then opened to see if Humpty Dumpty stayed whole or cracked. This year only 1 Humpty cracked! 🥚🍳🙂

ACUSD #10 Families, As part of an overarching national trend, Altamont was subject to a “swatting” hoax regarding a false report on social media of a lockdown today. The safety and security of our students is our top priority, so we worked diligently with law enforcement to investigate this report. However, upon investigation, it was deemed a false report, and likely part of a bigger national trend that has been spread via social media. As always, Altamont takes all matters involving student safety seriously and will remain diligent in maintaining a secure and welcoming educational environment for our students. Fortunately, today’s matter was determined to be false, and we are carrying on business as usual today. To close, I’d also like to take a moment to highlight the importance of encouraging your child to let an adult know if they see or hear anything to say something. Being proactive about these matters is one of the most effective ways we can keep our school safe. Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff, Casey Adam Superintendent
